Desde finales del 2015, he investigado cómo grande personalidades de la Historia contemporánea y el presente han coincidido, casi miméticamente, en posturas y expresiones ante la cámara fotográfica, sin importar la época, el lugar, la situación o su significado. Personalidades que se han convertido en figuras icónicas dentro del imaginario colectivo tanto local, regional como universal. En este sentido, me propuse realizar un proyecto desde una mirada crítica y pusiera en cuestión estas figuras. La obra consiste en una serie de retratos conformados mediante la técnica del collage a partir de imágenes de archivo, los cuales se constituyen de la complicidad que creo al doblar las fotografías unos personajes y superponerlas sobre otros. corrompiendo los rostros originales y transformándolos en otros irreconocibles, desconocidos, pero posibles. Síndrome de Proteus (patología congénita que se caracteriza por la deformación paulatina del organismo), y que a su vez, hace alusión al Dios griego Proteo, el cual podía mutar y asumir múltiples formas para no ser descubierto.

Since the end of 2015, I have investigated how great personalities of contemporary history and the present have coincided, almost mimetically, in postures and expressions before the camera, regardless of the time, place, situation or its meaning. Personalities that have become iconic figures within the collective imaginary both local, regional and universal. In this sense, I decided to carry out a project from a critical perspective and question these figures. The work consists of a series of portraits made using the collage technique from archival images, which are made up of the complicity that I created when folding the photographs of some characters and superimposing them on others. corrupting the original faces and transforming them into other unrecognizable, unknown, but possible. Proteus syndrome (congenital pathology characterized by the gradual deformation of the organism), and which, in turn, alludes to the Greek God Proteus, which could mutate and assume multiple forms not to be discovered.
