En 1965 la negación de la prensa independiente a circular es oficializada por el Estado, dejando esta posibilidad hasta la actualidad dentro de los márgenes de la “ilegalidad política”. Después de una larga investigación, el proyecto “Lecturas difíciles” propone una serie de fotografías de las publicaciones independientes más emblemáticas y de mayor movimiento en los últimos años en el país. Estas han tenido una circulación ilegal, clandestina, lo que hace que su visibilidad y conocimiento sea nulo, es decir, no exista. Las fotografías recrean cada publicación en ambientes completamente íntimos, oscuros, indefinidos, algunas veces en solitarios, para lograr ese entorno anónimo, incierto e ignorado en que habitualmente circulan, leen y debaten.

Since 1965 it prohibited the independent press in Cuba and was cataloged within the field of “political illegality”. Starting from this, I make an investigation of a year ending in a photo series titled Difficult Reading. In this series I show a group of independent publications with the largest circulation and impact in the last years in the country. These have had an illegal, clandestine circulation, which makes your visibility and knowledge of citizens is null, ie, does not exist. The photos recreate each publication completely intimate, dark, indefinite environments, sometimes in solitary, to achieve that anonymous, uncertain environment and ignored that usually circulate, read and discussed.
